Home is where the heart is

I got to spend some time with my family last week over Labor Day weekend because I had a shoot in Ohio. I scheduled 4 days around the assignment so I could visit the many family members spread across the state. It turned out to be a good time, not only for the great Labor Day BBQ at my dad's, but Aug 29 and Aug 30 are my two sisters' birthdays. I like documenting my family....always fun to look back and remember when.

Whenever I go home it's always difficult to spread myself out as I have my grandparents who live up north, dad and siblings who live Columbus, and mom and brother in Athens. It's always a trek around the state trying to work on other people's schedules. I got to meet with a few friends in Columbus, Doral Chenoweth III, a staff photographer for the Columbus dispatch and one of my internship mentors from back in the day...and also Kyle Robertson, another staffer at the Dispatch and college classmate. Good times.

Anyhow, I've been wanting to update this blog for a while, and have some cool things to put up soon, but I'm waiting for the articles to publish so I can do so!

Here are some pictures from my trip home.
